Robert Joseph Dieringer

Robert J. Dieringer, age 74, was surrounded by family when he was called home to heaven on February 22, 2016. Beloved husband of Esther: Devoted father of James (Devrin), Cynthia, Robert, and Ralph (Halina); Cherished grandfather of Robert, Morghan, Tristan, Wyatt, Natalia, Michael, John, Victoria, Weronika, Amanda and Ryan and great granddaughter, Iliana; Loving Brother of Del Roy (Terry) Prokop, Marguerite (Richard) Horney, Nick Metropulos, Dean (Arlene) Metropulos and Christine (Dave) Steiner; Special Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Robert was a U S Army Veteran, and retired from the Chicago Police Department after 31 years. In lieu of flowers Memorials in Robert's name to American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association or Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated. Family will receive friends for a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox IL 60451 from 12 noon – 5 pm. Private Interment with Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
