Robert L. Schuld Sr., age 96, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Manor Care in Palos Park with his family by his side.
Robert is survived by his eight sons, Robert (Barbara and the late Lynn) Jr., William (Barbara), Michael (Carol), Thomas (Teri), James (Donna), Patrick (Karyn), Daniel (Therese), and John (Karen); his grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Jeanne, Julie, Billy, Liesl, Emily, Erica, Tommy, Lisa, David, Lauren, Jamie, Danny, Timmy, Jaclyn, Brendan, Marty, Jack, Joe, Riley, Colin, Keegan, and Aidan; great grandchildren, Natalie, Evalynn, Sebastian, Austin, Colton, Dylan, Kylie, Alaina, Scarlet, Sawyer, Brenden, Harry, Emerson, Declan, Gavin, Gabrielle, Liliana, Cameron, Bennett, Mariano, Vivian, Audrey, Sammy, and Jase; great great grandchild Amelia; special friend Carol Borrman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Anne (nee Maloney) Schuld and second wife Jane Kelly; parents Arthur and Blanche (nee Sayles) Schuld; and his brothers, Arthur, William, Donald, and Kenneth.
Robert was born on November 22, 1925. He bravely served in the United States Navy and served in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. Robert had resided in New Lenox for 31 years and was very active in his community. He was a former member of the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce, the Telephone Pioneers, New Lenox VFW post.1080, and proud parishioner of Saint Jude Catholic Church. Robert will be missed by all that knew him.
Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, in New Lenox on Monday, November 29th, 2021 from 3-9 pm. Services will continue the following day, November 30th, 2021 with a short visitation from 9-9:30 am with a Mass at Saint Jude Catholic Church at 10am. He will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery next to his loving wife Anne. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Brain Tumor Research would be appreciated.
