Age 76, a resident of Shorewood, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019. Beloved wife of Brian J. Purcell; loving mother of James (Jill) Purcell; dear mother-in-law of Amy Purcell; cherished grandmother of Katherine, Nathan, Michael, Sarah, Ryan, and Evan; dear sister of Sandy (late Phil) Aasgaard; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Sonia Creekbaum (Nordmark), and son Stephen Purcell. Roberta was a Nursing Instructor at Moraine Valley for over 25 years. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 3-8 PM. Funeral service Thursday, January 31, 2019 with chapel prayers at 10:30 AM to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Ave., New Lenox, IL 60451 for a 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial.
