Rodney Paul Lamie
Age 49, recently passed away at his residence in New Lenox, IL. He was born on July 30, 1965 at Saint Mary's hospital in Kankakee, IL to Dennis B Lamie and Joan M Vadeboncoeur-Lamie. Surviving are his wife Angie Lamie; his mother Joan M Vadeboncoeur-Lamie (Vacaville, CA); his father Dennis B Lamie (St. Ann, IL); sons; Joshua, Ryan, Joey, Jake; Sisters; Dawn M Vergara, Vickie A Love, Kristie J Chase; Brothers; Shane A Lamie, Shaun G Lamie; nieces; Naomi, Jessica, Amber, Brandi, Payton; nephews; Ronald, Joshua, Logan, Devon, Tyler, Cody, Bryant; and a multitude of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Ronald & Naomi Vadeboncoeur and Lionel & Vernille Lamie; brother; Chad Joseph; and nephew; Jonathan. As a teenager, he took an interest in auto body repair and turned it into a lifelong career. His artistic talents and continued education had lead him to become a highly skilled auto painter and manager of an auto body shop. He also engaged in a motorcycle painting business. His personality touched many lives. He brought joy and comfort to those who knew him. He was the kind of person who when encountered with any circumstance, could learn from it and come out a winner. He was an amazing son, loving husband, treasured father, an endearing uncle, the best friend a sister could ever ask for. Celebration of Life will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 Francis Road, New Lenox, IL with visitation from 10-2pm and a service at 2pm on Saturday, October 11, 2014.
