Roger L. Benson Jr.
72, of Manhattan formerly of Frankfort passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox. Roger was born in Chicago to the late Roger Sr. and Dorothy (nee Knox) Benson. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Cruz); loving father of Brian (Julie) Benson and Aimee (Keith) Kameron; cherished grandfather of Ashley (Jake) Christensen, Jacob Benson, Jackson Kameron, Carter Kameron, and Alyssa Kameron; proud great grandfather of Caden Christensen; dear brother of the late Dianne (late Larry) Thormeyer and the late James (Rose) Benson loved uncle of numerous nieces and nephews and dear friend of many. Roger was a member of Carpenter’s Local 599. He loved to golf and build houses and he thoroughly enjoyed doing things for others. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, Frankfort on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 3pm – 8pm. Funeral Service Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City.
