Age 72, a resident of New Lenox, formerly of Orland Park, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020. Beloved husband of Marilyn (Speedwell); loving father of Anne Marie (Mark) Proff and Julie (Mike) Lavey; cherished grandfather of Grace, Benjamin, Michael, and Emily; dear brother of the late Dennis (Late Sandra) Niznik, Russell (late Mary) Niznik, and Debra (Roy) Wapiennik; also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Clementine Niznik (Lewandowski). Roger was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Saturday, February 29, 2020, from 10:00 AM until time of chapel prayers at 12:15 PM to St. Michael's Catholic Church, 14327 Highland Ave., Orland Park, IL 60462 for a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial.
