RUTH A. BURKE

Age 70, of Lockport, former longtime resident of New Lenox, passed away at her home on Saturday, October 29th, 2016.

Ruth is survived by her loving family, husband, Bill Burke, children, Bill Burke, Christine Duecker, Peggy Burke, Tim (Yunseo) Burke, grandchildren, Billy, Annabelle, Aidan, Grace, siblings, Len (Karen) Barnickel, Tom (Bev) Barnickel, Janice Roth, Kate (Joe Valintis) Barnickel.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard & Rita Barnickel (Hinz).

Ruth was a longtime member of St. Jude Catholic Church where she was very active in the choir. She was also a longtime volunteer at Silver Cross Hospital.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Tuesday, November 1st, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service, Wednesday, November 2nd, 2016 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM and then to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 2nd, 2016 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM.
