SHIRLEY ETTA PASCARELLA

On February 21, 2024 Shirley Etta Pascarella (Rekau) age 89, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.  Born on July 25, 1934 in Steger Illinois to Robert and Charlotte (Ryan) Rekau.     

Beloved wife of the late Philip Pascarella for 56 years.  Loving mother of Curtis (Donna) Pascarella, Denise Pascarella and Philip Pascarella II.

Dear sister of the late Richard Rekau, Michael Rekau, Chris Karagias, Bobbi Schouten and Thomas Rekau.  Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Cherished “Nonnie” to Amanda (Eric) Creighton, Michelle (Kevin) Kalinski, Lesley (Adam) Wilson, Adam (Leah) Pascarella, Anthony (Melissa) McAuley and Leah Pascarella.

Loving great grandmother to Savannah and James Creighton, Eliya and Aria Kalinski, Henry and Lucy Wilson, Stella and Violet McAuley and Paul Pascarella.

She will forever be remembered as being an amazing cook, fashionista, world traveler and hostess who truly believed in the magic of Christmas.

Thank you for always putting your family first.  Until we meet again…Always in our hearts.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Friday, March 1^st, 2024 from 9:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM.  Interment, Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood, IL.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be greatly appreciated.
