Stanley Louis Luttrell, 76, of Crete, formerly Chicago Heights, passed away June 14, 2021 after battling Leukemia. Beloved husband of Billie Luttrell (nee Thompson), devoted father of David (Rose) Luttrell of St. John, IN, Jeremy Purdy of Crete, Ryan (Lisa) Purdy of Beecher, cherished grandfather of Olivia Luttrell and Emery Purdy. Stan was also survived by several brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Joanne Luttrell (nee Gliottoni). Stan was raised in Homewood. After graduating from Homewood Flossmoor H.S. he enlisted in the U.S. Airforce, where he served stateside as a mechanic and achieved the rank of Sgt. Stan retired from St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights after 25 years of service as a maintenance engineer. He was a train enthusiast and enjoyed talking to people and was a man of great faith. RIP Stan “The Man”, Stosh, Skip, Uncle Stan, Grandpa Stan…Dad. Visitation will be held on Mon., June 21st, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL. Committal Service and Interment will be held at Abraham Lincoln Nat’l Cemetery in Elwood, IL immediately following.
