Steven William Gossett 

Age 66 of New Lenox passed away after a prolonged illness on Thursday, March 6, 2025. Steven was born in Joliet, IL to Joan (nee Fitzgerald) and the late William D. Gossett.

Beloved son of Joan and the late William; loving father of Christine (Matt Duncan) Fletcher and Tammy Fletcher; cherished grandfather of Emma’Lee Fletcher, Austin Delawder, and Kaylee Duncan; dear brother of Gary (Debra) Gossett, the late Mark Gossett, and the late Kevin Gossett; beloved uncle, cousin, and friend of many.

Steve was an Auto Body Repair Specialist for many years. Steve also enjoyed the beach. He loved to be near the palm trees and the ocean. He had several different palm plants that he cared for meticulously. Steve was a proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends although he would never let you know that he enjoyed it. Steve will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Saturday April 12, 2025, from 1:00 pm until the time of Memorial Service at 3:00 pm.
