Susan O. North

Susan O. North 85 of Mokena IL. Was born in Los Angeles California to the late Floyd and Florence O’Brien and passed away August 5, 2024. Loving mother of Kristen North and Sheri (Don) Testin. Susan loved spending time with her husband Lee traveling the United States in their RV. The two of them would spend the winter months in Florida camping at Disney World’s Fort Wilderness Campground. During the summer they would head west for a few weeks of camping throughout the Rocky Mountains and various other destinations. Susan adored her pets, especially her Persian cats and her Australian Shepherd dogs. She enjoyed various activities including competing in dog agility with their Australian Shepherds as well as showing their Palomino horses with her daughters. Summers, when she wasn’t traveling, she worked in her garden and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds, orioles, and blue jays that visited her yard as she lounged in their backyard swimming pool or sitting on the deck. Susan worked at a Joliet Pre-School for many years and later volunteered at PAWS Animal Shelter in Mokena.
