Sylvia Margaret Stack (nee Welenc)

Age 96, of New Lenox formerly of Chicago, was born into eternity on July 25, 2024. Treasured wife Joseph Stack (deceased 2017) for 70 years; loving mother Daniel (Kim) Stack (both deceased), Susan Newman, Diane (Donald) Daum, Robert (Ranee) Stack, Barbara Ferry and Larry (Lynn) Stack; Sylvia is also survived by 8 grandchildren (one deceased), 8 great grandchildren, 2 great – great grandsons, and her brother Anthony (late Connie) Welenc. Loved aunt, and friend of many. After raising her 6 children, Sylvia found great satisfaction through volunteer work at St. Jude Church. For 25 years, she and her husband Joe were an important part of its Caritas program, making sure the donations came in continuously to the food pantry. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Sylvia enjoyed a large network of relationships and brought a smile to everyone. She will be remembered as a positive, supportive woman who loved her family very deeply. The family will receive friends at St. Jude Catholic Church 241 W. 2nd Ave, New Lenox, IL on Monday, August 5, 2024, from 9:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM. Interment private.
