85, of New Lenox, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at The Cottages of New Lenox. Thelma was born in Chicago to the late James L. and Sula P. (nee Watts) Maritt. Beloved wife of the late Lester R. Nick; loving mother of Donna (Russell) Curtis, Debbie (Jerry) Hamning, Douglas Nick, Dennis (Brian Wolf) Nick, and the late David (Debbie) Nick; cherished grandmother of Colette (Hugo) DeAquino, Brad (Kim) Vock, Christopher (Cristina) Vock, Danielle (Tim) Ryan, and Derek Nick; proud great grandmother of 6; dear sister of the late Ruth Ward. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 3pm – 8pm. Funeral Service Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL.
