80, late of Joliet formerly of New Lenox, passed away at his home on March 31, 2012 with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Ardith Barnett (nee Pemble); loving father of Cheryl (Guy) Hernandez, Jeannine (Anthony) Garbin, Laurie (Bill Healy)Barnett, Janet (Terry) Eberhart, Late Thomas D. Barnett Jr., Jeffery (Mary Suarez) Barnett and Julie (Dave) Lynn; dearest son of the late Ned and Mary (nee Fitzpatrick) Barnett; fond brother of Eleanor Jean (late Bill) Huston, late Ned (Wanda) Barnett, late Paul (Mary) Barnett, Phyllis (Robert) Arthaud, John (Jeanette) Barnett, Michael (Judy) Barnett, Ronnie (Sharon) Barnett, Barbara (Ralph) Tissiere and Patrick Barnett; cherished grandfather of Jason Valy, James Livsey, Jacob Livsey, Michael Garbin, Brian Garbin, Kelsey Peterson, Cody Peterson, Kyle Eberhart and Faith Lynn; proud great grandfather of Jace Valy and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL 60451 on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 3 until 9 PM. Funeral service on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel, Interment will follow to Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to St. Jude Children Hospital would be appreciated.
