Age 68, a resident of North Judson, IN. formerly of Tinley Park, IL. passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2019. Beloved husband of Odette (Traina); loving father of Eric (Maura) Doornkaat and Jason Doornkaat; cherished grandfather of Gracie and Nicholas Doornkaat; dear brother of Debra (Daniel) Martino; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Diane Doornkaat and parents Donald and LaVerne Doornkaat (Welnak). Tom was a former Police Officer for the Blue Island Police Department and later retired as Supervisor from Ryder Mechanical Trucking Company. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Monday, September 9, 2019 from 2-8 PM. Funeral service Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, Oak Lawn, IL.
