79, of New Lenox formerly of Calumet City, Lansing and Schererville, IN, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet. Tom was born in Chicago to the late Raymond and Marie (nee Halen) Peterson. Beloved husband of the late Regina “Reggie” Peterson; loving father of Cathi (Rick Fenton) Peterson, Jim (Rebecca) Peterson, the late Michael Peterson, Mary Nenn, and Beth (Nick) Leonard; cherished Papa of Cameron, Christian, Gretchen, Dylan, Ryan, Claire, and Faith; dear brother of Dorothy (late Ray) Donahue. Tom was a Credit Manager for Swift and Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1990 and a longtime member of Our Lady of Knock Church in Calumet City. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 3pm – 8pm. Funeral services Saturday, December 22, 2018 with prayers at the funeral home at 11:30am to St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox for Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00pm. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City.
