Thomas R. Mcgregor

Thomas R. McGregor Age 62, of Joliet, IL, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 29, 2023, after passing unexpectedly at his home. Tommy was born in Joliet, IL to Thomas E. and JoAnn (nee Vetter) McGregor. Beloved Son of Tom and JoAnn; loved brother of Terri (Jeff) Kochel; loving uncle of Andrew (Shelby) Kochel and Alyssa (Danny) Dixon; proud great uncle of Adeline and Charlotte Kochel, and Bennett Dixon; also survived by his lovable K9 companion Pepper and many friends and family. Tommy was retired from the Joliet Public School District 86. Tommy was an avid baseball fan who enjoyed watching games at all levels. He especially enjoyed watching the Joliet Central Steelmen and the Joliet Slammers. He enjoyed summer vacations with his family and especially looked forward to his yearly vacations at Gull Lake Ministries, with family. Spending time with his nephew and niece was his favorite pastime. Those who knew Tommy, knew he loved his Bible and was a student of the Word. His favorite gift to give was that of a Bible, always inscribed with a loving, personal note of challenge to stay in God's Word and “know the Book” He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox on Thursday, May 4, 2023, from 3pm-8pm. Funeral Service Friday, May 5, 2023, at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel, Interment Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL
