Thomas J. Terfler

Thomas Terfler, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Ascension Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. 

Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Crystal Terfler; children, Nicole (Timothy) Warchol, Stephen (Patricia) Terfler; grandchildren, Tristan Terfler, Max Warchol, Lauren Warchol, Mitchell Warchol, and Mia Terfler; sister Adrene Terfler; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents James and Evelyn Terfler; his son, Paul Terfler; and his brother Jerry Terfler. 

Thomas will be remembered for his passion for fishing and hunting, especially in Wisconsin and Lake Sarah in Illinois. He also had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening vegetables and was especially proud of his tomatoes. He was an active member with the Izaac Walton League of America where he was a member for many years. He was also a long time Chicago Bears season ticket holder and big Chicago Cubs fan. Thomas will be missed by all that knew him. 

Services for Thomas will begin on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way in Frankfort with a visitation from 2pm-7pm. The following day, a brief visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am.
