Walter A. Bratcher

Walter A. Bratcher, age 47, of Mokena formerly of Lombard, passed away, Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. He is survived by his loving family; wife Tracy Bratcher (Flake); daughters Dorotha and Isabella; siblings Cheryl (James) Allen, Donna (Mike) Teal, Robert (Judi) Bratcher and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Dorotha (Cook) Bratcher, siblings James Bratcher and Deborah McCracken, niece Susan Teal and brother-in-law Michael Flake, Sr. Walter was an owner of the family business Bratcher Enterprises in Orland Park. He loved nature, cars especially his 69 Coronet. He loved music especially the Grateful Dead and the Doors, and he loved people. Visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 3 until 8 p.m. Funeral Services Thursday June 16, 20122 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Skyline Memorial Park in Monee. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Will County Humane Society or plant a tree in Walter’s memory.
