Walter "Mokey" Bartosz

Walter (Wally, “Mokey”) Bartosz, age 83, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. 

Mokey is survived by his beloved wife, Evon (nee Stanczyk) Bartosz, his three children, Charlene (Jeffrey) Krause, Andrew (Kelly) Madej, and Lynn Wolz and his grandchildren, Lauren, Jeffrey, Kyle, Emmi (Zach), Kalyn (John), Kelsey, Bud, Rebecca (Aric), Rachel (Kris) and Justin (Betty); great grandchildren, Jayden, Rory, and Easton, his brother Stanley Bartosz; numerous nieces and nephews and all the others who referred to him as uncle Moke. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Jeanette Bartosz; his brother Joseph Bartosz; and his sister Joanie. 

Mokey was a devoted husband to his wife of 54 years. He was wonderful dad (a.k.a. Pa), grandpa and great grandpa. He dedicated over 40 years to his career as Director of Manufacturing at Best-Tronics Mfg. Inc., where he was known for his work ethic and leadership. Outside of his work, Mokey enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports and spending time with family and friends. He will always be remembered for his warm, generous, and humorous personality. Moke’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

A funeral mass to honor Mokey’s life will be held on December 21, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 E 2nd Street in New Lenox. In lieu of flowers donations to St Jude Catholic Church New Lenox - Building God’s Kingdom campaign in Wally’s memory would be appreciated.
