Walter H. Jaros Jr.
Age 82, of Steger, passed away Sunday, April 20th, 2025, with his family by his side.
Walter is survived by his loving partner of 37 years, Christel Gabor; children: Scott (Jill) Jaros, Todd Jaros, Amy (Mike) Sherrell, Shirley Palmer, and Randy (Therese) Palmer; grandchildren: Zachary Carey, Nicholas Carey, Alexander Carey, Samuel Sherrell, Stephanie Sherrell, Cole Cress, Kyle Cress, Cayla Cress; great grandchild: Charlie; sister, Cathy (Mike) Novak; sister-in-law: Suzie Jaros, and the Miller family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Walter H. Sr. and Genevieve Jaros; siblings: Patricia Majka, Larry Jaros.
Walter dedicated many years of his life to his career as a machinist, where his craftsmanship and attention to detail were well-regarded. Walter's professional journey was accompanied by his unwavering dedication as a proud member of the United States Air Force, serving with honor and distinction. His military service not only shaped his character but also instilled in him a sense of pride that he carried throughout his life.
Beyond his work and military commitment, Walter relished joyful moments spent with his family. He had a lively spirit and was known for his love of laughter. His hobbies included regular visits to the casino where he enjoyed playing cards and experiencing the thrill of the games, always finding time to share a good laugh with those he cherished.
Walter H. Jaros Jr. will be remembered not only for his contributions to his profession and country but also for the warmth and joy he brought to the lives of those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of family and friends who were fortunate enough to know him.
