Wanda L. Williams (nee York)
92, passed away peacefully at Rosewood in Joliet on Friday, May 16, 2014. Born in Enfield, IL on November 8, 1921 to the late Tilford and Pearl (nee Crawford) York. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Ernest E. Williams (2001), a brother Ralph York and a grandson Ronald Rob Jr. Survived by her son Ronald (Jacqueline Rob) Williams of New Lenox; three cherished grandsons, Brian (Kelly Costa) Williams, James (Kristi) Williams, and Corey (Diane) Rob; six great-grandchildren, Meaghan and Madisyn Williams, Skyler and Jacob Rob, and Nick and Katie Costa; a brother Chelsea (Pauline) York of Colona, IL; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews survive. We would especially like to thank the caregivers at Rosewood and Presence St. Joseph Hospital for their wonderful help. Wanda was a former school teacher and employed by Sears for thirty years, retiring in 1984, after which she spent loving time with family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 4-8PM at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, IL. Funeral Service will be at 10:00AM on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the funeral home with interment to follow at White County Memorial Garden Cemetery. Good Bye and Welcome Home Mom.
