William E. Pote

70 of Mokena passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. Bill was born in Chicago, IL to Mildred (nee Shields) and the late Walter F. Pote Sr. Beloved husband of Stephanie (nee Crowhurst) Pote; loving father of Rebecca (Randy) Mason and Bridgette (John) Kavanagh; cherished Papa of Justine (Cal) Hackler, William Kavanagh, Sam Mason, and Sophia Mason; dear brother of Walter (Linda) Pote Jr., John (Sharon) Pote, Diane (Pat) Lavin, James Pote, Daniel Pote, Marjorie Costa, and Michael (Sharon) Pote; loved uncle, friend, and neighbor of many. Bill will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Bill was a member of Plumbers Local 130 UA. He was a car enthusiast and loved restoring old cars and trucks. He was an avid fisherman and a skilled welder who enjoyed making all kinds of things. In lieu of flowers memorials in Bill’s name to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Anyone with a classic car that will be coming to the wake is encouraged to bring it. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 2:00pm until a Time of Sharing at 7:30pm. Interment will be private.
