WILLIAM H. RAGLAND JR.

William Ragland Jr, passed suddenly. Beloved high school sweetheart, best friend, and husband of 32 years to Kristin Ragland. Proud father to William Ragland III, Charles (Katlyn) Ragland, Samuel Ragland and Matthew Ragland. Very proud Papa to Eden Ragland and Madison Ragland.

Bill is also survived by his loving mother, Wanda (John Jackson) Ragland, brother, David Ragland, sisters, Sherry (John) Sheehy, Lori Ragland, three nieces, one nephew and father in law Chuck (Michelle) Richardson.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Ragland Sr. and mother in-law Carol Richardson.

Bill loved all kinds of music, from Gordon Lightfoot to Led Zepplin to Alice in Chains. He passed this love of music to his boys along with his passion to fish. The lake was his church, his sacred place. He also had a wicked sense of humor. His seat at our dinner table will forever be empty as will parts of us.

Family will receive friends, at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 East Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Monday, November 8th, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be private at Marshall Cemetery, New Lenox IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be extremely helpful with burial expenses.
