William T. Koch

Age 67, of Mokena, IL passed away at home on Monday, October 2, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. In the preceding days, Bill was surrounded in love by those lucky enough to call him husband, father, papa, brother, and friend.

Bill was born in Blue Island, IL to the late Roy A. and Louise (nee Borron) Koch. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Vittone) Koch; loving father of Aimee Koch, Julie (Brandon) Slager, and Sarah Koch; cherished grandfather of Ryder Doty and Spike Slager; dear brother of Anne (Tom) Kracmer, Roy Jr (Rosemary) Koch, Chuck (Karen) Koch, Mary (Ali) Taour; loved lifelong friend and brother of Joe Pinkul, Kirby Bannerman, and Charles Jones; Treasured uncle, cousin, dogfather, and friend of many.

Bill was owner of Kochs Equipment Company, Inc, and past President of New Lenox VFW Post 9545 Auxiliary. Bill was extremely active in his volunteer work for veterans and active duty military. He was an avid fan of NASCAR racing, so much so that he even worked on pit crews many times. Some of his most treasured memories were all of the summers he spent with family and friends at Lake Waubesa; fishing, boating, swimming, and socializing.

Bill will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 10:00am until the time of Memorial Service at 2:00pm. Interment will be private.
