Age 79, of New Lenox, IL, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL. with his loving family by his side. Yasuo was born in Kurashiki City, Japan to the late Takao and Toshiko (nee Sumida) Nakayama. Husband of Jan (nee Bartlett) Nakayama; loving father of Naomi (Joe Nguyen) Nakayama, and Joy (Seijo Imazaki) Nakayama; cherished ojiisan of Sage, Kai, True, and Noe; dear brother of Kiyoko (Michiaki) Ichimura; loved uncle, cousin, and friend. Yasuo practiced dentistry in Chicago, IL for over 40 years. He was an avid reader, and his cooking brought smiles to the faces of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors, and was often gardening and fishing with the grandchildren; Yasuo passed on his sense of compassion and care for all living things to them. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 3:00pm until time of Funeral Service at 7:00pm. Interment will be private.
